The Scrumptious Squad is a weekly 2-hour online culinary social club for kids that delivers essential lessons and techniques and culminates in a fantastic home-cooked meal to share. Real talk- we all need a place to slow down, hang out, and connect right now. A safe place to create- to use our senses- to reconvene with what’s important; clean water, food, family, and community. Our intention is to create a space to do just that, where kids can express themselves confidently, learn, make mistakes, and create something nourishing for themselves and their families.
As the structures we have come to rely on are crumbling before us, let us focus on the space being created instead of the form being lost. In that new space, we have the proactive option of inserting creativity, intentions, and inspiration.
Join us from your home kitchen as we unleash our culinary creativity through delectable dishes based on scrumptious seasonal ingredients. Each week we’ll utilize skill-based, hands-on, whole-foods cooking to build motivation and confidence in the kitchen. Students will gain an understanding of foundational cooking techniques that encourage them to be intuitive, creative chefs. This immersive, interactive, and empowering cooking club is a supportive space where the next generation of cooks can learn to nourish themselves using all of their senses. Food opens the mind and connects it to the body making for an authentic starting point where children can communicate and celebrate diverse perspectives, experiences, and understanding amongst a supportive community of students who love to cook!
Ingredient lists are provided ahead of time so you can plan your shopping. Our flexible recipes are designed in such a way that students will be guided (and encouraged) to switch things up when appropriate. We will happily make suggestions for substitutions and adaptations for allergies or dietary restrictions. Cooking is all about getting creative and using what's available, seasonal, and delicious to you.
We welcome chefs between the ages of 9 and 15 (inquire about other ages). Since a cooks level of comfort in the kitchen doesn't necessarily correlate to their rotations around the sun, we have divided this program into beginner (Commis) and advanced (Sous) versions. Please note that the recipes will be largely the same.

The Commis Chefs Club
AGES 9-15
WEDNESDAYS
SEPTEMBER 2ND - SEPTEMBER 30TH
3:30-5:30PM
A slower-paced club for chefs that are still getting comfortable in the kitchen. This level goes a step above the basics (though we’ll make sure to cover those too). You’ll develop your current skills and hone in techniques for the culinary fundamentals. You’ll learn the right tools for a task, and how to safely use the oven and stovetop to prepare delicious food.
The Sous Chefs Club
AGES 9-15
THURSDAYS
SEPTEMBER 3RD - OCTOBER 1ST
3:30-5:30PM
This club is more technical and will go a quicker pace while still ensuring no one is left behind. If you feel pretty comfortable in the kitchen and are ready to enhance your abilities or expand your culinary horizons, this is your level. This club is designed to help you cook at home with better organization, stronger skills, and a more thorough understanding of how to make ingredients sing.

“OUR CHILDREN ARE ONLY AS BRILLIANT AS WE ALLOW THEM TO BE.”
― ERIC MICHA'EL LEVENTHAL
Cooking is more than following a recipe. It is a way to build confidence, care for yourself and others, connect across the table, and become more capable in everyday life.
Path to Panacea’s Culinary Life Skills series gives teens the time and space to become thoughtful, independent cooks through hands-on practice. Rather than focusing on perfect recipes, we teach young people how to think in the kitchen: how to assess what they have, choose a cooking method, make substitutions, balance flavors, work with others, and turn ingredients into a meal.
Our growing series follows a simple progression:
Feed Yourself
Build the skills and confidence to nourish yourself.
Feed Your People
Discover how preparing and sharing food can create connection, care, culture, and belonging. Caring for those closest to you is one of the many ways we show love.
Taking care of those around you is
Nourish Your Community
Use culinary skills, creativity, and collaboration to identify a need and contribute something meaningful to the community.
These weekly programs are designed to build skills over time, giving teens repeated opportunities to cook, taste, problem solve, collaborate, and gather around the table.

Culinary Life Skills for Teens
Winter Session
January 14 through February 11, 2027
Thursdays, 3:30 to 6:00 PM
Ages 10 to 16
5 weeks
This series is designed to help teens become confident, independent cooks. Participants will practice essential skills including knife safety, basic cooking and baking methods, seasoning, flavor balance, and kitchen problem solving. Rather than simply following recipes, teen chefs will learn how to assess the ingredients on hand, choose an appropriate cooking method, make smart substitutions, and turn what they have into a balanced meal.
By the end of the series, participants will be better equipped to confidently answer the question:
What can I make for myself?
"This remains my child's FAVORITE all-time camp! She comes home so inspired. The other day while I was on a work meeting, she offered to make me lunch. When I got off my call, a beautiful meal was waiting for me! Thank you Path to Panacea team!"
- Rachel S.
Feed Your People:
Cooking, Connection & Community
Spring Session
April 22 through May 27, 2027
Thursdays, 3:30 to 6:00 PM
Ages 10 to 16
6 weeks
There is something special about cooking for others. In this hands-on series, teen chefs will build confidence in the kitchen while learning the rhythms of planning, preparing, tasting, adjusting, collaborating, and gathering around the table. Along the way, participants will develop practical life skills, explore the traditions and stories carried through food, and experience how cooking can create connection and care.
Each week, we’ll prepare and share a family style meal, culminating in a special dinner planned and cooked by the teens for their families.

We believe every young person should enter adulthood with the confidence and skills to feed themselves, care for others, and contribute to their community.

"I love that there's a cooking class for this age range. It's such an important life skill and Chef Alicia was wonderful. It gave my daughter great hands-on experience, opened her palette to new foods and flavors, and a sense of accomplishment bringing home food for us every day."

I think it was a great camp and I highly suggest you get to enjoy the teachers who let you get involved where other camps don't. They allow you to get in there, get right to work making complex and delicious recipes. They gave us responsibilities, guidance and trust! I'll be coming back to keep building my skills and having fun.
